7 EASY ways to increase your Happiness!




1. Start each day with things that make you feel alive!

  1. Go for a morning walk, a hike, visit the garden/park or swim in the ocean, sit in the sunshine and relax... Nature is the best healer! Even if its just for 10 minutes. 

  2. Yoga and stretches... Get that body moving! Even if its just by starting off for a few minutes each morning and increasing.

  3. Grab a little notebook and every day write 3 things that you are grateful for. The book will soon be full of all your goodness.

  4. Meet an old friend, connect, we are social beings.

  5. Take some time off work to LIVE!

  6. Go get a massage, sauna or a treatment that you enjoy. Some YOU time.

  7. Have a cold shower or ice bath/treatment - Cold water increases your prana (energy) and brings your mind into the present moment.

  8. Breath work practices - This also increases your energy. They can be simple.

 

2. Do a random act of kindness

Help someone in need... Without expecting anything in return.

Suggestions...

-Message someone who comes into your thoughts, even if you haven't spoken in a while, maybe they are in need of a nice message.

-Pick up rubbish. Take a bag down to the beach or park and pick up rubbish. (Great with a friend)

-Do you know a safe area where homeless people gather or eat ... Drop some food or toiletry items near them. (Also best to take a friend)

-Write a kind message on a piece of paper and pop it in a random person’s letterbox.

-Save an insect that is stuck or instead of killing that non-poisonous spider that entered your home, catch it with a glass and take it outside!

-Plant seeds and grow flowers/herbs for the bees - Be it your garden or window sill!

-Volunteer for a program, organisation or charity you believe in.

Being a good human, from your heart, also makes you feel really, really good.


3. Create a "list"

4. Play!

At what point do we stop playing? Children are so good at creating their own play, games and laughter!

As adults we often forget to play with the stresses of our jobs, bills, kids and growing concerns.

Take time to have fun!

Suggestions...

Grab some friends and organise a wig and roast dinner, go to a theme park, buy some paints and create, have a beach get-together day, take a weekend adventure holiday, go for a hike, look up learning activities in groups such as cooking classes, painting, clay making and beyond, go horse riding, pick up an old habit like a language or instrument, go kayaking, go rock climbing, make natural beauty products or candles, travel, create a board game... Play is endless.


5. Meditation

Warning: They say if you don’t want to be happy, don’t meditate. Because meditation automatically kindles the positivity and joy in you!

If you are just starting out try an app like Calm or Headspace or find a centre or program near you or online.


6. Quit your unhealthy, unhappy job.

No other way to explain this, but if you hate your job day in and day out.

It WILL eventually make you sick. Life is too short. ❤
